As a Magazine Editor at Island Media Group, you’ll work closely with our talented team of writers, photographers, and designers. Your daily tasks will include developing story ideas, editing and refining content, managing deadlines, and ensuring our publication meets the highest standards of quality and creativity. With a salary range of Rp 12,000,000 to Rp 18,000,000 per month and a location in the heart of Pangkal Pinang, this role combines the thrill of editorial work with the opportunity to be part of a growing media landscape in the region.

📋 Tanggung Jawab Pekerjaan

• Develop and execute the editorial vision for our lifestyle and culture magazine, ensuring alignment with our brand values and audience interests.
• Oversee the creation of compelling narratives, from concept to final publication, working with writers, photographers, and designers.
• Curate and edit content to maintain high editorial standards, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and engaging storytelling.
• Manage deadlines and workflows to ensure timely publication of high-quality content.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote our magazine and engage with our audience.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in magazine publishing, applying innovative ideas to our editorial process.
• Foster a collaborative and creative work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication.
• Represent Island Media Group at industry events and networking opportunities to build our brand’s reputation.

🎓 Kualifikasi & Syarat

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in magazine editing or a similar editorial role, with a proven track record of successful content creation.
• Strong understanding of editorial processes, including copy editing, fact-checking, and layout design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Indonesian, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
• Proficiency in using editorial software such as Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, and Google Docs.
• Experience working with a diverse team, including writers, photographers, and designers.
• Creative and innovative thinker with a deep appreciation for cultural and lifestyle content.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
